Prince William, Catherine and kids snowball the cuteness in new ski trip photos

So, would it be highly inappropriate to ask the British royals to adopt us? Because Prince William and Duchess Catherine unveiled a slew of vacation photos on Monday featuring their fun-filled trip to the French Alps.

William, second in line to the British throne, can be seen with his wife of nearly five years and their two children on holiday at an undisclosed location, according to Kensington Palace, which shared the photos (taken last week) on social media.

“This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children had played in the snow,” the palace said. “It was [a] very special and fun short holiday for the family, and they are grateful that John Stillwell was able to capture the moment so well.”

The images, captured by the Press Assn. photographer, feature informal portraits of the royal quartet decked out in their snow gear -- fuzzy beanies, ski masks and all -- as they play outside in the snowfall during their short ski break.

Even 2-year-old Prince George cooperated for the fun shots, facing the camera and grinning in his red beanie. In another image, Wills and Kate, 33 and 34, respectively, give royal watchers major couple envy as they goof around throwing snowballs at each other. Another image features Wills carrying his secondborn, a white-parka-clad Princess Charlotte, 10 months, whose happy smile is framed by her rosy cheeks and pink nose.

The duke and duchess are both avid skiers but haven’t been able to take their annual trip to the slopes since having kids, the Daily Mail reported. The publication cited sources saying that the couple wanted to introduce their kids to skiing as soon as possible in the hope that they would inherit a love of the sport.

People reported all the pertinent fashion details, including where to get their affordable snowsuits as well as some of their exorbitantly priced accessories.

The photos come just as the royals gear up for a series of engagements later this week that they’re coordinating with suicide prevention organizations.
