Snoop Dogg is a grandfather, announces news on Instagram

Snoop Dogg, a.k.a. Tha Doggfather, is now a grandfather thanks to his oldest son, Cordé “Spank” Broadus.

The rapper shared the news via Instagram on Wednesday.

“Proud grandad,” the 43-year-old posted along with a video. “My son spank n grandson Zion!! Jah bless.”

Cordé, 20, welcomed his son with girlfriend Jessica Kyzer. Snoop was out of town for the birth, according to BET, but posted a collage of family members, including wife Shante Broadus, holding the new baby -- including a shot of himself waiting with open arms.

“Zion. U have a lot of love waitin’ on u grandson!!,” wrote the rapper, real name Calvin Broadus.

Snoop and his 17-year-old son, Cordell, can be seen in a five-part docuseries, “Snoop & Son: A Dad’s Dream,” currently airing on ESPN. Cordell is pursuing a college football career. The rapper’s daughter, Cori, is 15.
