It’s official: “The Walking Dead” attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood will release its horde of undead onto the masses on Monday, July 4. And with this announcement comes a sneak peek at the permanent addition to the park.

Long has AMC’s “The Walking Dead” series been a part of the Halloween festivities at Universal Studios, but park guests now can flee real-life and animatronic zombies every day, all day. The park will open its year-round “Walking Dead” attraction this summer, and it’s already chock-full of walkers straight out of the popular TV series.

And, yes, that includes the iconic walker from the pilot episode dubbed the “Bicycle Girl.” The park released a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of its new world of horror, which included a tour from series executive producer Greg Nicotero (who has been lending all sorts of official walker molds to the crew behind the new creation).

The walk-through attraction, located at the front of the park, will include animatronic walkers along with real-life actors portraying the shambling monsters. The park put out an open call for actors looking to slowly lumber toward guests.

Universal Studios is getting lots of attention with the recent addition of the California “Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” which likely will draw a younger crowd, but (according to a news release) the park is not recommending the “The Walking Dead” experience for guests younger than 13
