Citrus Classic Balloon Festival Colorful hot air balloons take to the sky over the scenic citrus orchards of Santa Paula at the Citrus Classic Balloon Festival. Brideworld Expo If you’re getting hitched, you probably have enough to be anxious about. So save yourself hours of catalog-thumbing and get to the Brideworld Expo, a compendium of pretty much everything you need (and lots of what you just want) to make your walk down the aisle a whole lot easier. Long Beach Crawfish Festival Call them crawfish, crayfish, crawdads, mudbugs or just supper — the tiny freshwater crustaceans will be served up by the bucketful at the Long Beach Crawfish Festival. In addition to Louisiana-style feasting, the festival offers Cajun and zydeco music, dancing, beach bars and a children’s area. Rainbow Lagoon, 400-403 Shoreline Village Drive, Long Beach. Pogopalooza Extreme athletes use all sorts of devices to propel themselves into the air, including skateboards, BMX bikes, skis and, in the case of Pogopalooza, pogo sticks. Over three days, pogo-ers from around the world will spring into action to see who can grab the most air, pull off the best trick and challenge five world records. Oxnard Salsa Festival If the heights of salsa for you are the blood-colored slurries served between beers at sporting events, you’re doing it wrong. The Oxnard Salsa Festival will showcase a bevy of spicy gourmet foodstuffs, live salsa bands and plenty of occasions to fan your mouth and hunt for a water jug. X Games ESPN’s annual no-holds-barred X Games action sports showcase features four days of tricks and stunts.
