America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back: Tonight’s series finale marks the end of a television era after more than two decades of telling fugitives’ stories and seeking viewers’ help in finding them, leading to captures of more than 1,100 fugitives and suspects (9 p.m. Fox).

The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter: Alan Arkin and Sondra Locke — in her film debut — earned Oscar nominations for their work in this 1968 adaptation of a Carson McCullers novel about a deaf-mute man (Arkin) who relocates to be near an institutionalized friend. Stacy Keach and Cicely Tyson also star (2:30 p.m. TCM).

Inception: One of the best-reviewed movies of 2010, and certainly one of the most challenging, writer-director Christopher Nolan’s strikingly visual melodrama plays liberally with reality and illusion (8 p.m. HBO).
