23rd Annual Taste of Newport The fest offers three days to sample fare from more than 30 local restaurants, sip wine from 15 California wineries and enjoy live music — all against the backdrop of Newport Beach. This year’s musical guests include Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on Friday, the Barenaked Ladies on Saturday and a doubleheader of Taylor Dayne and ABBA: The Concert on Sunday. Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch Get the drop on the fall season at the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch, an annual old-fashioned family shindig.
