Jenna Bush Hager, the former first daughter who’s now a correspondent for the “Today” show, is expecting her first child with husband Henry.

“I’m nervous and so excited to say that Henry and I are pregnant, or, I’m pregnant,” the 31-year-old Hager said Thursday on “Today,” later getting a little emotional when she started talking about her love of children.

The younger of the twin Bush girls married Henry Hager in 2008 in a ceremony held on the family’s ranch in Crawford, Texas. Their baby is due this spring.

Henry joined his wife on the couch Thursday while former President George W. Bush showed up via phone to share in the fun of the announcement.

“Yeah, I’m fired up,” Bush said. “Looking forward to it. And I’m excited for Jenna and Henry .... I could barely contain the news when I found out, so now I can tell all my buddies.”

Anyway, the baby won’t be third in line for the throne or anything, but who knows what political heights he or she might be genetically predisposed to attain.
