Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis cuddle up in Iowa for the holidays

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are having a real-people Christmas this year in Iowa, Kutcher’s home base.

Glamorous celebrity activities have include trips to Bed Bath & Beyond and a sporting-goods store in Cedar Rapids, Celebuzz reported, as well as a stop for frozen yogurt Saturday night, according to People.

The “Two and a Half Men” star and his newest squeeze “were picking out gifts for his family,” a BB&B; employee told Celebuzz. “They bought robes, slippers and candles. It’s really cold in Iowa right now, so I’m sure it will come in handy.”

Also reportedly on the list for the mall trip was more PDAs than is usual for the low-key couple. (Hey, it’s cold outside! Can you blame them?)

Cozy way to rebound from being slapped with an anti-Semitic slur by a Ukrainian politician earlier this month (her) and filing for divorce on Friday (him). On the divorce front, incidentally, TMZ reports that a big part of the yearlong delay had to do with the potential financial settlement to be paid out to Demi Moore, who allegedly wanted a payout along the lines of her deal with Bruce Willis. Moore is reportedly the much richer of the estranged spouses, so perhaps that’s why this season finds Kutcher at the mall.

Ashton, of course, previously brought Demi for visits to Iowa as well, although one such trip didn’t have a very happy ending — for the University of Iowa, at least.

U of I, home to the Hawkeyes and for a few years home to Kutcher’s abbreviated college career, admitted to the NCAA that violations took place when football recruits were introduced to the famous couple on the sidelines back in 2010, the Des Moines Register reported.

No need to worry about keeping Mila cloistered on any football sidelines this time of year, however: With a 4-8 record for 2012, there’s no postseason play for the Hawkeyes to protect.
