Sean Young was arrested after an altercation with a security guard while trying to enter an Academy Awards after-party, police said Monday. There are some reports that she allegedly slapped the guard when he turned her away from the event because she didn’t have a ticket. Young, 52, has reportedly long struggled with alcoholism, although it was not immediately clear whether alcohol played any role in the incident.

J-Lo caused an online sensation with a plunging neckline that some sharp-eyed observers said led to a wardrobe malfunction while she was on stage handing out an award. Twitter seized on the supposed nip-slip, creating such a sensation that Jennifer Lopez‘s stylist, Mariel Haenn, issued a statement to MTV.com denying any such problems: “The Oscar dress was custom-made... There were cups built in... While the dress did give the illusion of sheerness, jokes on everyone who wishes they saw something!” Watch the video of J-Lo onstage, below, and decide for yourself if you see a little something on the left side.

Angelina Jolie made sure there was no mistaking her intentions. She practically screamed, “Look! My leg!” when she strutted out onstage at the Hollywood & Highland Center and then paused dramatically while jutting out her thin pin. Some said it reeked of desperation on behalf of one of the world’s most beautiful women. Others took the “If you’ve got it, flaunt it,” view. And then there was “The Descendants” screenwriter Jim Rash, who aped the stance when he came onstage to accept his Oscar. (He insisted he was not making fun of Jolie. It was an homage, he said.)

Sacha Baron Cohen managed to get onto the Oscars red carpet as Adm. Gen. Shabazz Aladeen, star of the upcoming film “The Dictator” after much hand-wringing. He then dumped the supposed ashes of late North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il onto Seacrest’s snappy tux. Perhaps Seacrest will send him the dry-cleaning bill.

Billy Crystal was brought in to host after director-producer Brett Ratner was ousted for making a gay slur. So what did Crystal do with his time? He appeared in black face as Sammy Davis Jr. in the opening mash-up that included a lip lock with George Clooney. (Cue the controversy about liberal Hollywood.) And then he tossed in this controversial crack: “After I saw ‘The Help,’ I just wanted to hug the first black woman I saw, which from Beverly Hills is about a 45-minute drive.” Overall, his performance was billed as being a little stodgy, but ratings were up so perhaps that’s all that matters.

F-Bombs Away: You know how Hollywood types always talk about how they’ve spent their whole lives preparing to make the perfect Oscar speech? Well, apparently some of them couldn’t plan beyond expletives. The makers of the documentary film “Undefeated” dropped the F-bomb during their acceptance speech, then got bleeped and cut off, which meant they never got to thank the North Memphis, Tenn., community that put itself out for the filmmakers. They later apologized, kind of, calling the outburst “from the heart.” But at least they had an excuse -- they’d just won an Oscar! Compare that to actor Jean Dujardin, who has cleaned up this awards season, and was the front runner heading into the best actor race. He dropped the F-bomb, too.
