Usher’s 11-year-old stepson from a former marriage has reportedly been declared brain-dead after a boating accident.
Kile Glover, the son of the “Scream” singer’s ex-wife Tameka Foster, was floating on an inner tube in Georgia’s Lake Lanier on Friday when a jet ski struck him, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Kile and a 15-year-old gal pal, who suffered head injuries, were airlifted to Children’s Healthcare at Egelston Hospital in Atlanta. Usher joined Foster at the hospital, where the former couple stayed the night.

The two injured youngsters were both on an inner tube being pulled by a pontoon boat, and along with the man who hit them were part of the group that rented the boat and personal watercraft, the paper said.

Kile was still in critical condition Monday afternoon, the Journal-Constitution said, while sources told TMZ that no brain activity had been seen since his arrival at the hospital. The boy’s father is Atlanta TV executive Ryan Glover.

Meanwhile, the celebrity community has been showing virtual support.

Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons tweeted Saturday: “Praying that Usher and Tameka’s son is ok...”

Singer Fantasia tweeted a request to her fans: “Everyone PLEASE pray for Usher and Tameka’s son! This is the time they really need your prayers!”

The incident is still under investigation. Though their divorce was finalized in 2009, Usher and Foster have been locked in a bitter, years-long battle over custody of their two sons together, Usher V and Navyid.
