With Nicole Kidman, Ellen DeGeneres announces Australia excursion

Ellen DeGeneres is going to Australia -- as are all the members of the audience from her Friday show, with additional winners to be selected weekly.

Ellen made the announcement Friday during a sit-down with Nicole Kidman, who’s in town not only for the Golden Globes but for the 10th anniversary of G’Day USA, also known as Australia week.

“I’m going in March and I’m going to shoot a bunch of stuff in Melbourne and in Sydney, and we’re going to do taped pieces and meet the fans and hang out,” the talk-show host told Kidman before the two started talking about all things Australian.

One place Ellen’s not scheduled to go -- at least not yet -- is Kununurra, in western Australia.

“I shot a film called ‘Australia’ there,” Kidman explained, “and ... I actually say that that’s how I got pregnant, because I swam in the swimming holes there, which are very kind of magical.”

“Well, if I get pregnant it’s real magical!” her host shot back.

The trips come courtesy of Swisse Wellness, an Aussie vitamin line that’s going to be available in the U.S. starting in February. Kidman has just been announced as the company’s global ambassador, and DeGeneres is an ambassador as well.

“I really believe in staying healthy,” Kidman said of her partnership. “I obviously have two little girls that I now have to live a long live for, so it’s taking care of yourself.”

Just watch out for those magical pools, OK?
