Femi Kuti at the El Rey Theatre

Nigerian musician Femi Kuti, son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, has a style as eclectic as his recordings are vast. Hints of Motown, afrobeat, jazz and hip-hop flavor his work, which has been popular since the late 1980s. He’s currently touring the U.S., playing his most popular tunes along with some new ones.
