Snooki loses 42 pounds, flaunts post-baby body
Snooki has lost 42 pounds, proving that, while she hasn’t gone anywhere, her baby weight has definitely gone bye-bye.
The diminutive, self-proclaimed meatball is flaunting her post-baby body in sexy bikinis and other swimsuits in an upcoming issue of Us Weekly. The “Jersey Shore” star is crediting her weight loss to exercise and dieting, the new “GTL” routine. The 4-foot-9 reality starlet now weighs 102 pounds.
“Everyone pick up Us Weekly on stands now!! Hard work pays off Big thanks to my trainer @anthonycpt27, Express Meals & Florham Park Fitness!!” Snooki, 25, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, posted on Instagram with a pic teasing to her cover photo and mag spread. The typically outrageous “guidette” recently went for a more demure make-under for xoJane, posing with less makeup than usual and the most covered-up dress we’ve ever seen her wear.
It’s been a while since those “Jersey Shore” kids made headlines -- once Snooki announced she was pregnant and costar Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino checked into rehab, the cast’s hard-partying ways officially became a thing of the past. The show wrapped its sixth and final season last December but has given rise to several offshoots.
“When you have a baby, everything changes,” she told the mag. Snooki and fiance Jionni LaValle welcomed their baby boy, Lorenzo, last August, and she has been working to get into shape since.
“I lost it for me,” she added, “but I also wanted Jionni to know that I can be hot as a mom.”
She now stars in the MTV spinoff “Snooki & JWoww,” and her priorities have shifted from her heavy drinking, juice-head-chasing ways at the Shore.
“I mean I definitely partied for like three people my entire life,” she said on the “Today” show last October. “I feel like now, you know, I have a family, I have a baby now, and this is just like a new chapter in my life and I love it. I’m just so excited.”
And now she’s got her body back. Snooki’s Us cover hits newsstands this Friday.
