Miley Cyrus has been hospitalized and has canceled her Tuesday night show in Kansas City, Mo., after a “severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.”

The announcement came in a statement on the website of the Sprint Center, where the “Wrecking Ball” singer was to hit the stage for a 7 p.m. show. Her rep told the Associated Press that Miley was on “medical rest” per doctors’ advice.

“Kansas I promise Im as [heartbroken] as you are,” Cyrus said on Twitter. “I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel [worse] than I already do.”

Posting a picture of herself in a hospital bed with a toy octopus, she added, “Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me.”

It’s the second show the singer has had to cancel on her “Bangerz” tour: She backed out of her April 7 show in Charlotte, N.C., at the last minute, citing severe throat and sinus issues. According to LiveNation, she had been “diagnosed with the flu,” but as we all know, antibiotics can’t do a darn thing to fight the flu, right?

Some fans had been waiting for hours in line, according to KMBC News, which reported some tears among the faithful.

“We’ve got two really upset kids over here. My niece hasn’t hasn’t talked since she found out,” one central Missouri mom told the local station. “And you know, an hour and a half before you walk in the door? Actually, 30 minutes, 6 o’clock we were supposed to go in. Kind of disappointed.”

Ticket refunds have been offered, though as fans complained last week and Tuesday on Twitter, that doesn’t do anything to cover the costs of prepping for and getting to the show (think hotel rooms, gas, mani-pedis and crop tops).
