‘12 Years a Slave,’ ‘Nebraska’ earn ACE Eddie nominations

“Nebraska,” “12 Years a Slave” and “Frozen” are among the feature film nominees for the American Cinema Editors’ 64th ACE Eddie Awards.

The Eddies recognize outstanding editing in film, TV and documentaries.

Nominated Friday for best-edited film (drama) are Joe Walker for “12 Years a Slave”; Chris Rouse for “Captain Phillips”; Alfonso Cuaron and Mark Sanger for “Gravity”; Eric Zumbrunnen and Jeff Buchanan for “Her”; and Mark Livolsi for “Saving Mr. Banks.”

Vying for best-edited feature film (comedy or musical) are Jay Cassidy, Crispin Struthers and Alan Baumgarten for “American Hustle”; Stephen Mirrione for “August: Osage County”; Roderick Jaynes for “Inside Llewyn Davis”; Kevin Tent for “Nebraska”; and Thelma Schoonmaker for “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

EDDIE AWARDS 2014: Complete list of nominees

Nominated for best-edited animated feature film are Gregory Perler for “Despicable Me 2”; Jeff Draheim for “Frozen”; and Greg Snyder for “Monsters University.”

Nominees for best-edited documentary feature are Douglas Blush, Kevin Klauber and Jason Zeldes for “20 Feet From Stardom”; Eli Despres for “Blackfish”; and Patrick Sheffield for “Tim’s Vermeer.”

Among the TV nominees are “Breaking Bad,” which earned four nominations, “Homeland”; “House of Cards”; and “Behind the Candelabra.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Feb. 7.
