Heidi Montag will win the 2013 album of the year Grammy?

Was it a reminder not to trust Wikipedia? Or someone’s snide criticism of the Grammy Awards? The Web’s communal encyclopedia Friday offered a foreboding look into Grammy future, predicting that Heidi Montag’s debut album, “Superficial,” will win the 2013 album of the year prize.

While the Grammys are full of puzzling nominations and awards, the debut album from the star of “The Hills” won’t be eligible, as it was released in 2010. Yet the jokester -- user 180.194.241.218 -- got a few things right.

The predictions, since deleted, were posted on the Wikipedia page for the album of the year Grammy. In the category of most embarrassing win in recent memory, the Friday morning update wasn’t all that far-fetched in its runners-up, listing Bruce Springsteen’s “Wrecking Ball” and Fiona Apple’s “The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.”

Springsteen’s album is a lock, especially after this week’s announcement that he will be the Musicares Person of the Year. Apple’s album is less so, but should still be considered an early favorite.

While Kelly Clarkson has her supporters, the name “Evanescence” will likely cause as many shudders as “Heidi Montag,” but it also isn’t too much of a stretch. Evanescence’s earlier album, “Fallen,” was previously up for the Grammy top prize, losing to OutKast’s “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.”

So sadly, user 180.194.241.218 may end up being more right than wrong.
