Watch: Morris Day and Haim perform ‘Jungle Love’ on ‘Kimmel’
The “Grammy moments” keep on coming.
Hot on the heels of Sunday’s Grammy Awards -- where the Recording Academy brought together Hozier and Annie Lennox, Jessie J and Tom Jones, and Ed Sheeran and ELO -- Jimmy Kimmel presented another such May-December duet Monday on his show, this time pairing Morris Day with the ladies of Haim.
Actually, the late-night host introduced the one-off supergroup as “Morris Day and the Haim,” punning on the name of Day’s longtime backing band, the Time.
But whatever they were called, the musicians appeared to have a blast running through Day’s early-’80s pop-funk hit “Jungle Love” -- especially Este Haim, who joined the singer for his patented side-to-side dance.
Note to the academy: Next year, book Este and her sisters for the big show. They won’t disappoint.
