Join “The Newsroom” star Olivia Munn and Times staff writer Patrick Kevin Day today at noon PDT for a discussion of the HBO series, which returns for its second season July 14.

The Aaron Sorkin-created series is unique in that it tackles real-life news stories, albeit a few months after they actually happened. As the second season opens, the “News Night” team is ramping up its coverage of the 2012 elections.

Munn plays financial analyst Sloan Sabbith, who somehow manages to dispense relationship advice, as well as sound economic advice, to her co-workers, played by Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, John Gallagher Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel and Sam Waterston.

We’ll talk with Munn about her role on the show, taking on actual current events and delivering that distinctive Aaron Sorkin-penned dialogue. To join, just click on the RSVP tab above and bring your questions.
