‘Broad City’ fans rejoice: Comedy Central announces winter schedule

Comedy Central blessed the masses with its winter programming schedule, meaning fans finally have a premiere date for “Broad City” Season 3, as well as a slew of comedies, both new and old, angling to fill the void that “Key and Peele” left.

The irreverent adventures of Abbi (Abbi Jacobson) and Ilana (Ilana Glazer) will continue Feb. 17, as “Broad City” returns for a third season full of hookups, New York City life and, apparently, a rat.

The network also has two series debuting this winter, betting big on the comedic stylings of several funny ladies.

“Idiotsitter,” created by Charlotte Newhouse and Jillian Bell, features an Ivy League graduate (Newhouse) who finds herself forced to look after a spoiled heiress (Bell.) Stephen Root and Jennifer Elise Cox also star.

Comedy Central’s other new series is “Not Safe w/Nikki Glaser,” featuring field pieces, panel discussions and social experiments encompassing all things sexual. The series is helmed by self-proclaimed “curious perv” Nikki Glaser and will be the first offering from the network to be introduced across multiple social platforms before its debut.

The network also announced plans to incorporate Snapchat into its programming with “Quickie w/ Nikki” and “Swag-A-Saurus,” the former of which will provide exclusive snaps of Glaser and the latter giving viewers lessons in slang.
