Live chat with ‘Parenthood’s’ Sam Jaeger and Erika Christensen on Monday

It’s the marriage one would hope would stay intact for the sake of the children -- or, at least, for the sake of TV viewers.

Fans of NBC’s “Parenthood” have watched, tissues in hand, as the marriage between Joel (Sam Jaeger) and Julia (Erika Christensen) has broken down.

There was the whole Joel going back to work, while Julia lost her job role reversal. The Ed issue. Joel moving out. Their kids, particularly Sydney, acted out. Now, Julia is seeing her old college flame pretty seriously. And in Thursday’s episode, Joel -- while achingly eating pizza -- was finally confronted with the fact that this might not be a marriage saved by separation.

So we’re going to serve as their marriage counselor.
