Hoop dreams may be coming to Showtime.

The premium cable network is developing a one-hour scripted project that goes behind the scenes of a pro basketball team, with a focus on the family that owns the team.

Sound like a certain family that owns the Los Angeles Lakers?

It might. Ron Shelton, the creative force behind iconic sports movies such as “Bull Durham” and “White Men Can’t Jump,” is an executive producer of the project. Jeanie Buss, the daughter of late Lakers owner Jerry Buss, will be an executive producer, along with Linda Rambis, the wife of current Lakers assistant coach and former player Kurt Rambis.

Also on the production team is former Lakers coach -- and Buss’ fiance -- Phil Jackson, and Rambis.
