USA has ordered a pilot for the supernatural drama “Evil Men.”

The pilot from writer Daniel Taplitz and director Gary Fleder will star Dallas Roberts, most recently seen in “The Walking Dead” and “The Good Wife,” as a family man tasked with killing “evil men” in order to keep his family from being harmed by a supernatural force.

One of the first people he must kill is Lazlo Kirk, a war criminal played by Clifton Collins Jr. But somehow, Kirk turns the tables and becomes an advisor and mentor for the man as he carries out the rest of the murders.

Jackie de Crinis, USA’s executive vice president of original programming, said the pilot is “a symbolic tale of good versus evil set in the everyday modern world.”

It’s the latest of five pilots USA has picked up this season. The others are “Colony,” set in a near-future Los Angeles semi-occupied by aliens, starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies; “Mr. Robot” about a mysterious group of underground hackers starring Christian Slater; “Stanistan,” a “M*A*S*H”-like series set at an American compound in a Middle East country and “Queen of the South,” an adaptation of the popular telenovela “La Reina del Sur” about the female leader of a drug cartel.
