There were some unusual choices on the CFDA Awards red carpet on Monday. Lupita Nyong’o wore a playful and colorful pants outfit by Suno. Marion Cotillard wore a Dior haute couture white lace dress with two protuberances billowing from around the rib cage. And actor Chris Kattan looked like he was auditioning for “Cabaret” in his louche black shorts as he reprised his SNL character Mango.

Rihanna, who was honored with the group’s Style Icon Award, wore a custom-made fishnet dress by longtime stylist Adam Selman that was so sheer that it looked kind of like a piece of sparkly Saran Wrap.
