Curve boutiques to offer branded line of apparel

Curve boutiques, which cater to the tony crowds of Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Miami and Sag Harbor, are offering a new branded apparel collection.

Boutique owner Nevena Borissova had discontinued a previous apparel line five years ago, but this season marks the soft launch of A.O.T.C. (“ahead of the curve”), sold exclusively at Curve boutiques. Working with an Italian mill, Borissova developed an abstract floral photo print on silk and created a few pieces, including a blouse and trousers, that recently hit stores.

In July, the label will officially launch with a complete fall collection, mainly in black and white, priced from $200 to about $1,000 for leather items.

“I have hired a designer, previously of Joie, to work with me,” Borissova says.

The apparel launch comes at the same time Curve is celebrating its 15th anniversary, offering a limited edition collection of apparel and accessories from designers including Jenni Kayne, Nicola Formichetti and Erickson Beamon that are available only at Curve. For a complete rundown on the anniversary collection, see the story I wrote for Sunday’s Image section.

In Los Angeles, the Curve boutique is at 154 N. Robertson Blvd.
