While her blush-colored Donna Karan Atelier gown sort of washed Anna Gunn out, the “Breaking Bad” actress’ updo was effortless and chic for the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

“I prepped Anna’s hair with Phytovolume Volumizing Spray, coating the hair from roots to ends,” says her hair stylist, Aviva Perea. “Then, using a T3 Tourmaline 2.5-inch barrel brush, I blew out her hair with the Featherweight Luxe 2i hair dryer.”

Once Gunn’s hair was dry, Perea took 2-inch sections and wrapped them around a 1.25-inch barrel T3 SinglePass Twirl Curling Iron.

“I used this larger size barrel and then turned the heat down to 200 degrees, because we wanted volume and movement but not a curl,” she says.

Next, Perea sprayed a texturizing spray through Gunn’s hair and then, with a rattail comb, teased the hair at the crown for some height and used hairspray for hold.

She gathered the actress’ hair at the nape of the neck and used a blond bungee elastic to secure the ponytail. Then using the wide section half of a T3 Large Styling Comb, back combed into the ponytail to “plump” it up and add more texture.

“I started gently wrapping the hair around itself and securing it with a mixture of bobby pins and hair pins. Finish the look off with a strong hold hairspray to last through the red carpet, Golden Globes and after party!” says Perea.
