Boho label Gypsy05 opens two stores; events and sales across L.A.

Gypsy05, a Southern California label that specializes in boho chic, is opening two stores in the Los Angeles area in the next couple of weeks.

The first up is slated to open Friday at 8811 Alden Drive off Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles. The second is to open June 6 at the Malibu Country Mart, 3835 Cross Creek Road, Malibu.

Designer Osi Shoham co-founded the label with her brother Dotan in 2005 and now hopes to open a string of stores across the U.S. (A third store, in Orange County, is in the plans.)

Prices for the brand’s men’s and women’s clothing range from around $90 to $450. The stores will also carry furniture, books, candles and jewelry.

Hours at the Alden Drive store are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Hours in Malibu are the same Monday through Friday and on Sunday, but Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Openings

Italian footwear and accessories label Carlo Pazolini is scheduled to open its first West Coast location, in the Beverly Center, sometime in June. The line offers men’s and women’s footwear, handbags and accessories with prices ranging from $175-$450. After the store opens, hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The Beverly Center is at 8500 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles.

Events

The Art of Shaving stores are offering customers the chance to try out the new Lexington Collection shaver in stores on Saturday. The shaver uses a new Flexball technology that allows the razor to pivot in multiple directions to make it easier to reach difficult areas. Each customer to come in and try the razor will receive a complimentary starter kit. Sample and warehouse sales

Raquel Allegra has scheduled a sample sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at 834 S. Broadway, fifth floor, in downtown Los Angeles. Prices will be 50% to 75 % off retail. No credit cards.

Lingerie brand Xirena plans a warehouse sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, also on the fifth floor at 834 S. Broadway in L.A. No credit cards, and prices are 50% to 75 % off.

Net-A-Porter’s spring sale, one of only two each year on the shopping website, started Tuesday and is slated to go through June 30. Items from labels including Jimmy Choo, Isabel Marant, Chloe, Lanvin and Alexander Wang are up to 50% off.

A multi-brand sample sale is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1317 Palmetto St., Los Angeles. Participants include Thvm Atelier, LD Tuttle, Black Crane, Wren, Hansel from Basel, Unearthen, Nico Nico, Alexander Yamaguchi, Complex Geometries and Kain Label.

Splendid and Ella Moss are planning a sample sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 860 S. Los Angeles St. 11th floor, Los Angeles. Cash, Visa, Master Card and American Express cards are accepted. All sales final.

Trunk shows
