Joy Bryant’s Basic Terrain line pops up at Satine

Satine is hosting a summer pop-up that is showcasing actress Joy Bryant’s Basic Terrain clothing line.

The Basic Terrain collection, including several exclusive pieces, will be available in the pop-up from Wednesday through Aug. 15 along with a selection of wares from other designers and artists curated by Bryant.

Featured designers and artists include Lulu Frost, Heyoka Leather, Surf Bazaar, George Frost, Jade Berreau, Leilani Bishop, Remains, Pret-a-Surf and Kelly Cole.

Satine is at 8134 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles. The boutique is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Events

Vocal group Gloriana is scheduled to perform in a free concert on Wednesday as part of the 2015 Summer Concert Series at the Grove, presented by Citi. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the mall at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.

About 300 collector-quality cars and other memorabilia will be for sale this week at an Auctions America event the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Attractions include a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS, a 2004 Ferrari Enzo, a 1955 Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster, a very well optioned 1964 Porsche 365C 1600 SC “Sunroof” Coupe and a 1996 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo Coupe powered by the marque’s final twin turbo air-cooled motor. The auction kicks off with a preview beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, with a cocktail event from 7 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday. A three-day pass costs $20. Figat7th in downtown L.A. has a whole calendar full of music events this summer. It includes Fusicology Fridays, a record-listening party from 4 to 8 p.m. on the third Friday of each month at the Taste Courtyard; City Vibes, a series of live performances and DJ spins scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, Aug. 15, Sept. 5 and Sept. 19, also in the Taste Courtyard; and the Figat7th Downtown Festival, scheduled on Fridays through Aug. 28 on the plaza level (doors open at 7 p.m., concerts begin at 8).
