Polkadots & Moonbeams grows. Gorjana & Griffin pops up at the Grove
Polkadots & Moonbeams -- which claims stars such as Drew Barrymore, Julia Roberts, Eva Longoria and Hilary Swank as customers -- has expanded into two spaces.
The new boutique spans 8367 and 8361 W. 3rd Street in Los Angeles (across from Joan’s on Third), with vintage merchandise at the former location and a modern mix at the latter.
A grand opening party is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 8361 W. 3rd St. and will include cocktails, hors d’ouerves and a surprise giveaway.
Store hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Pop-Ups
Laguna Beach-based jewelry and accessories brand Gorjana & Griffin is the latest vendor to offer wares in one of the Grove’s pop-up carts. The shopping mecca started its pop-up cart program in fall 2012 to showcase fashion and accessories by Southern California designers. Originally meant to last for just a few months, the program has become ongoing.
Gorjana & Griffin’s cart will carry some of the label’s signature pieces for men and women as well as some of its Damsel in Dior collection. It’s the first retail location for the company, which is sold online, according to the Grove.
The cart is scheduled to stay through the end of the year at the mall at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.
Openings
Lifestyle brand Calypso St. Barth is scheduled to open at Malibu Country Mart on Friday. The shopping center is at 3835 Cross Creek Road, Malibu. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Anthropologie plans to open a petites shop-in-shop in its Santa Monica store Thursday. The store is at 1402 Third Street Promenade.
