Tim Tebow’s in Vogue. Demi Lovato thinks ‘Mean Stinks’

Demi Lovato has joined Secret deodorant in its “Mean Stinks” campaign to stop girl-on-girl bullying. She announced her participation to students at the Young Women’s Leadership School in East Harlem during a special “Drama Free” school year anti-bullying assembly on Thursday morning.[Mean Stinks]

First, New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn called Oscar de la Renta a “hot dog” in a review of his spring 2013 collection. Then de la Renta took out a full-page ad in WWD complaining about Horyn, as we noted previously. Then Lady Gaga added fuel to the fire by tweeting in support of the designer. And now Horyn’s boyfriend, Art Ortenberg (he’s a co-founder of Liz Claiborne Inc.) has rallied to the defense of Horyn and critics everywhere in a letter to the editor of WWD: “I feel it necessary to cudgel Gaga for her badly informed, dumbing-down opinion that an uninformed opinion is as valid as that of a seasoned critic...Grow up, Gaga.” [WWD]

Cameron Diaz was among the guests at Vogue editor Anna Wintour’s latest fund-raiser for President Obama’s reelection campaign. The dinner was in London on Wednesday night and was co-hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and Tom Ford. [The Cut]
