Toms’ throws pre-Fourth of July ‘Red, White and Bold Bash’

Toms is hosting a pre-Fourth of July “Red, White and Bold Bash” on Saturday at the Americana at Brand.

The charitable shoe and eyewear company, which gives back to those in need for every pair of shoes or glasses sold, is hosting a party with live music, games and art on the green from noon to 6 p.m.. It’s to celebrate Independence Day – “and the freedom to style your Toms,” the event flyer says.

The mall is at 889 Americana Way, Glendale.

Opening

Designer resale boutique Buttons and Bows, owned by Karen Marley and Monique Aquino, has moved to a larger location at 548 Spring St., Suite 112, in downtown Los Angeles’ historic core. The shop moved from a smaller space on Main Street, which in turn grew out of style blogger Aquino’s successful Ebay store that sold clothes designed by Marley, a daughter of reggae master Bob Marley.

Pop-up

British brand Paper London is popping up for two days at Foundry, the multi-brand boutique at 7955 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles. Paper London is known for its textured fabrics and colorful palettes. The pop-up is set to be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Women’s dresses that normally go for $310 will be priced at $55.
