‘Fashion Star’ host Louise Roe is ready for spring

Share

Louise Roe, the British TV personality, fashion journalist, designer and host of NBC’s “Fashion Star,” wears many hats, including trendsetter. Her look -- a mix of high and low designer duds from New York, Los Angeles and the UK -- is not only appealing but attainable too.

In a recent Times style profile, she revealed her affinity for prints and bright colors. She’s already brought her love of color to the show, appearing in the first episode of “Fashion Star” in a poppy off-the-shoulder gown.

Whether she’s hosting “Fashion Star,” working on her MTV international show “Plain Jane” or out and about shopping, Roe is put together and almost always in color. She looked ready for spring when she attended the John Varvatos 10th Annual Stuart House Benefit, mixing prints and colors for a look that popped and nailing the season’s sheer trend.

The baby blue maxi skirt was just the right amount of sheer to be tasteful. With it she wore a geometric print top, leather jacket and snake print pumps. She accessorized with a cowboy hat and an oversized blue satchel.

For a similar look, try the Side slit chiffon maxi skirt from Express for $39.90 and tuck in the Addison Kent sleeveless top from Farfetch.com for $148. If there’s a cool breeze, slip on the AE faded denim jacket from American Eagle for $49.95. Get the Master hatters of Texas Ruidoso 3X wool felt hat from BootBarn.com for $59.99 to hide from the UV rays.

Roe mixed her prints and colors for a look that really popped. Accessorize with the BCBGeneration satchel Quinn satchel bag from Dillards.com for $88 and the Kelsi Dagger cameo shoe from 6pm.com for $49.99, or for flats, get the Nicole heart flat from Last Call by Neiman Marcus for $79.

Happy shopping.
