Video: Hair and style tips with Ashley Madekwe and Joico
Hair care brand Joico has teamed up with actress Ashley Madekwe from the show “Revenge” for its hair makeover Web series “Drab to Fab.” Above is the first of three videos featuring Madekwe, who offers style advice to go along with Joico artistic director Damien Carney’s hairstyling tips.

In the video here, titled “What a Curl Wants,” a model is given a retro hair makeover with curls. Carney demonstrates how to get the look, without a curling iron, and instead uses various clips and his hands. Carney’s tips include using your fingers to tame unruly, frizzy hair and not scrunching your hair up when you dry it.
The products Carney uses in the video include Joico’s K-Pak Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil and the K-Pak Protect and Shine Serum. He also uses a dryer with a diffuser attachment to achieve the look.
To go with the new do, Madekwe suggests keeping the look simple and chic and adding patent leather pumps. Watch the full video above for all of Madekwe’s and Carney’s tips.
