ArcLight dinner and a movie for DineLA; Barbershop pops up; class at Al Bacio

ArcLight Cinemas offers DineLA’s first dinner-and-a-movie special for restaurant week, running now through Jan. 31. For $45, customers choose one film as well as a three-course prix fixe menu including winter greens and red beet salad, ahi tuna tartare tower, grilled New York steak, baked vegetable succotash, chocolate lava cake and rustic apple tart. 6360 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, (323) 464-1478, arclightcinemas.com/news/promotion-dine-la.

Barbershop Ristorante, a pop-up restaurant by chef Walter el Nagar, will present its fifth installment, starting Wednesday through Feb. 15, Wednesdays to Saturdays 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The $85 nine-course menu will feature dishes such as tofu with green tomato marmalade and sea urchin; red beet pasta with radicchio and mushrooms; and skate with celery root, sweet garlic and acqua pazza consomme. Al Bacio, the West Hollywood Italian restaurant helmed by Christian Simionato, is offering an Italian cooking class Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The $45 fee includes wine and a three-course lunch featuring Al Bacio salad, tagliatelle with veal bolognese and a baked apple tart with orange cream and milk gelato.
