With the dog days of summer in full swing, cool off with these drink specials at local restaurants and bars.

Kirin Ichiban Frozen Beer: Available at Katsuya in the Americana, Chaya Downtown’s Beer Garden, and Dodger Stadium, this frozen beer is draft beer topped with 23°F frozen beer foam to keep the beer perfectly chilled. The frozen foam has a smooth, refreshing texture and maintians the temperature at which the beer was poured. This new way to drink beer is wildly popular in Japan and Hawaii, but this is the first summer it is available in California.

Bourbon Dinner: The Tin Roof Bistro will be celebrating its exclusive bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery with an al fresco bourbon dinner on Sunday. The family-style meal with bourbon cocktails includes corn chowder shooters and mini bacon biscuits with bourbon on the rocks; a salad of watermelon, heirloom tomatoes, arugula, and feta with a mint julep; a whole roasted pig served with coleslaw, fingerling potatoes, and a whiskey sour; and vanilla wafer cream pie with a Manhattan. Tickets are $54 per person. 3500 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, (310) 939-0900.
