Today is National Drink Wine Day. Yes, according to Google, and NationalDrinkWineDay.org, this is a real thing, not just your average Wednesday.

Hey, we’re not complaining.

According to NationalDrinkWineDay.org, it’s a time to honor and celebrate all the great reasons to drink wine. If you’re looking for ways to indulge, our resident wine critic S. Irene Virbila has more than a couple suggestions.

And if you’re heading out tonight, both Bacaro L.A. and Bacari P.D.R. have what they call Wine Down Wednesday specials to help you celebrate.

At both the downtown Los Angeles Bacaro L.A. and Bacari P.D.R. in Playa del Rey, for every glass of wine a customer orders, the next glass is $1 off. At both restaurants, wines on the frequently changing list are about $7 to $11. Varietals being poured tonight include Domaine 2012 Vaquer Roussillon ($10), 2012 Vilacetinho Vinho Verde ($9), and 2013 Siete Fincas Malbec ($10).

It should also be mentioned that at any time, at either restaurant, you can pay $25 per person and get 90 minutes of open bar service with house wines, house sangria and house draught beer.

And as always, please drink responsibly.
