Use Uber to order ice cream delivery today
If you’re jonesing for an ice cream cone but can’t get away from the office, you’re in luck. The Uber smartphone app, which allows users to dial a sober ride after a long night out, will also help beat the heat with ice cream delivery Friday.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., users can summon an ice cream truck to deliver the cool treat to anywhere in the city while supplies last. The promotion is running in all of Uber’s 33 cities and 11 countries.
An Uber login from a downtown-area phone shows Carvel Ice Cream Sandwiches available. You can order six ice creams for $36 and a Fiji water for $2.
Visit Uber online or check its Twitter feed and follow the hashtag #Ubericecream for more information.
