A.O.C. celebrates Valentine’s Day with a four-course menu prepared by chef de cuisine Lauren Herman. Bar Marmont chef Carolynn Spence is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a “Love Me/Love Me Not” menu for those celebrating love -- and those that are not. A la carte highlights include: caviar and oysters served on a bed of roses with pink peppercorn mignonette (Love Me) and a variety of chocolates and cookies served with a small pink hammer and a shot of whiskey (Love Me Not). Catalina Kitchen has created a Valentine’s Day embodying its classic Mediterranean fare with an evening of ”Tapas for Two. The menu features spanish saffron rice with garlic lobster tails, scallops, chicken, and sausage; oysters on ice; crispy green lip mussels with almond and scallion gazpacho; olive oil shrimp with toasted garlic and red chili oil, warm almond crusted manchego cheese with a hot garlic vinaigrette and slivered almonds; squid with bacon and garlic oil; and, artisan chocolate truffles and chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. Church & State, located in the heart of the Arts District in downtown L.A., will be featuring a $95 ($145 wine pairing) prix-fixe menu using ingredients known for their aphrodisiac qualities. Comme Ça offers a Valentine’s Day menu inspired by the memories of Julia Child and her husband Paul’s love of the holiday and their quirky celebrations while living in France. Craft is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a $95-per-person prix-fixe menu. First courses and desserts served for the table. Dog Haus has a Valentine’s weekend “Love Connection Combo” for two Feb. 14 to 17. Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village is offering three different Valentine’s Day dining experiences. Executive chef Alexander La Motte will present a three-course “His and Her” sweetheart dinner ($95 per person) with optional wine pairings and live singer in the Lobby Lounge. Guests can also choose to dine in the modern Japanese restaurant ONYX, where chef Masa Shimakawa will prepare a special four-course menu ($75 per person) in addition to selections available a la carte.
