Twitter #Weekendeats highlights: Cozy up with a bowl of soup

There’s nothing like a hot, comforting bowl of hearty soup when the weather is grim outside. During Monday morning’s #Weekendeats chat on Twitter, participants braved the winter chill with soups, stews and chili to keep warm. Here are the highlights:

Hester, from the blog the Chef Doc shared a recipe for pumpkin, carrot and apple soup, while Karen of the blog Tasty Trials shared her chipotle-rosemary sweet potato soup with bacon. For Meatless Monday, Michelle Jenkins of the blog Daily Waffle offered up a recipe for her chunky vegetarian chili.

Sinosoul shared a picture of spicy Taiwanese beef noodle soup from Remy’s, LAOCFoodie shared a picture of pork cheek stew from Bow and Truss and a picture of smoked chicken verde stew in a cone from Cars Land, and Michelle Maskaly of the blog the Adirondack Chick shared a picture of mushroom, arugula and lentil soup.
