Local Food Lab’s food business start-up program

Share

Got an idea for a food or farm startup? Local Food Lab, a Palo Alto-based incubator offering food and farm entrepreneurs the resources and knowledge needed to successfully launch new businesses, will be offering a six-week accelerator program in Palo Alto from Feb. 12 to March 19.

Sessions will cover business plans, product concepts and offer mentoring over the course of the program, which will wrap up with a Venture Fair allowing students to present their businesses to investors and industry leaders. Program participants’ startup ideas vary but can include catering and food services, packaged and prepared food products, programs promoting the growth and development of local food systems, and more.

The startup accelerator program costs $2,500 per person. The application deadline is Monday at midnight PST. Those interested but unable to attend the winter accelerator program in Palo Alto should know that a Los Angeles-edition is in the works for later this year.
