Health happenings: Terranea yoga and a rooftop workout with a DJ
Kick off fall with some one-off fitness events around town -- and a bit farther out.
Free workout with Lacey Stone
She has a cult following at FlyWheel, trains Amanda Seyfried and Kelly Osbourne, and runs intensive bootcamp programs. Lacey Stone will offer her Stone Method class for free on Saturday to celebrate the launch of her new collection of tank tops. Stone’s signature 45-minute routine incorporates dance and athletics for a high-intensity workout.
Sustenance for participants will come courtesy of Propel water, Kind bars and meal delivery service Klean LA, and there will be giveaways of Stone’s tanks, Fitbits and designer leggings from Carbon 38.

Yoga by the sea
The tranquil Terranea resort in Palos Verdes hosts its annual Seaside Yoga Gathering on Sunday, with an expected 300 people practicing yoga while overlooking the ocean. The free hour-long class caps a month of yoga events at the luxury resort. A wellness fair as part of the event will allow yoga buffs to chat with holistic practitioners and sample healthy treats. Yoga L.A. style
Nighttime asanas to live music is a specialty of a group called Bender, which organizes yoga classes set to DJ-spun music around Los Angeles. Upcoming is a rooftop yoga party overlooking downtown L.A. on Friday night; a 75-minute class for all levels precedes refreshments and a concert.
