Update: Maloof Cos. President Joe Maloof has sold his Brentwood house for $4 million.

White trim, fencing and dormer windows give the two-story gated home a traditional look while hardwood floors, wainscoting and crown moldings continue the theme indoors. There are five bedroom suites, each with a walk-in closet and balcony, and 5 1/2 bathrooms in 6,100 square feet. The main entry hall has a dramatic black-and-white floor, high ceilings and a sweeping staircase lined with windows. An oval-shaped saltwater pool sits in the lushly landscaped backyard.

Maloof, 53, purchased the home newly built in 2004 for $4.75 million, public records show. The Mandeville Canyon-area property came on the Multiple Listing Service in October at $4,995,000.

He oversees the family business empire, which owns the Sacramento Kings and Monarchs basketball teams, the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and other enterprises.
