State’s rainy-day fund: In the May 9 Section A, a front-page index item referring to an article about a deal reached by California legislative leaders to save money and pay off state debt said that voters will decide the issue in November. As the article itself correctly said, the proposal must first be passed by the Legislature.

Albuquerque shooting: In the May 8 Section A, an article about the release of a video in the fatal police shooting of Armand Martin said that Martin came out of his home Sunday with a handgun in each hand, firing shots. As noted elsewhere in the article, the shooting occurred on Saturday, May 3.
