Nuclear weapons: An article in the Nov. 30 Section A about a call for the U.S. to replace its aging nuclear weapons reported that former Los Alamos National Laboratory director Siegfried Hecker said the country could build a new generation of weapons without underground testing. Hecker, who opposes testing, believes that testing would be necessary.

Piatigorsky house: An article in the Dec. 1 Section A about the legacy of Gregor and Jacqueline Piatigorsky and materials salvaged from their former Brentwood home referred to a monthlong exhibit of her chess archives at the World Chess Hall of Fame in St. Louis. The show ran for several months.

Lakers-Celtics game: In some copies of the Dec. 6 Sports section, the headline on an article about the Lakers’ loss to the Boston Celtics reversed the score. As the article noted, it was the Celtics who won, 113-96.
