Santa Monica Sears: An article in the July 29 Business section about the Sears store in Santa Monica misidentified the architect of the original Santa Monica Place as Frank Lloyd Wright. It was Frank Gehry.
Mexican artist: In the July 22 Section A, a photo that accompanied an article about a free pay phone installation by Mexican artist Minerva Cuevas should have been credited to photographer Daniel Hernandez, not Tracy Wilkinson.
Olympic swimmer: A caption in the Aug. 3 Summer Olympics section misidentified swimmer Tyler Clary as Travis Clary.
Book review: A review of “The Betrayal of the American Dream” in the Arts & Books section elsewhere in this edition misspells the last name of co-author Donald L. Barlett as Bartlett. The error was discovered after the section went to press.
