Colorado shooting: In the July 23 Section A, an article about the background of James E. Holmes, suspected of the theater shooting in Aurora, Colo., said that between high school and college he had an internship with a computer laboratory at the Salk Institute at UC San Diego. The Salk Institute is not affiliated with UC San Diego.

213 Nightlife: In the July 20 Calendar section, an article about 213 Nightlife said that chef Neal Fraser was overseeing the menu at a planned Cole’s bar and restaurant at Los Angeles International Airport, and that the new menu would feature sausage. Fraser consulted on the downtown L.A. Cole’s, but Jason Gancedo will oversee the LAX version, which will feature Cole’s traditional French dip. Fraser will oversee a sausage-heavy menu at a planned Seven Grand at LAX.

The Jacksons: A July 21 Calendar section article about the Jackson family tour reported that several of Michael Jackson’s siblings had accused the executors of his estate of fraud, forgery and abuse of their mother, Katherine Jackson, but neglected to include a response. In a statement, the executors said the accusations were false and were “being made by certain members of Michael’s family whom he chose to leave out of his will.”

Ringo Starr: A review in the July 23 Calendar section of Ringo Starr’s performance Saturday at the Greek Theatre stated that his early solo hit “It Don’t Come Easy” was written by George Harrison. Starr received sole songwriting credit on the single when it was released in 1970, but subsequently has stated that he and Harrison wrote it together.

Beaded jewelry: In an article about beaded jewelry in the July 22 Image section, artisan Julie Rofman’s last name was misspelled as “Rothman” in a couple of references.

City National earnings: A July 20 article in Business about financial results at City National Corp. misidentified the company as City National Bancorp.
