Synagogue expansion: An article in the June 18 LATExtra section about a community dispute over the size of a synagogue in Sherman Oaks said that resident Ron Ziff had lived in the Chandler neighborhood for three decades. He has lived in Sherman Oaks for nearly 50 years, but never in the Chandler neighborhood. The article also said that Ziff had given time and money to Chabad of North Hollywood. It is another branch of Chabad that he has supported.

Hotel sale: An article in the June 18 Business section about the sale of the historic Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs identified one of the former owners as actress Amanda Leeds Howard. Her name was Andrea, not Amanda.

“August: Osage County”: A Quick Takes item in the June 19 Calendar section about George Clooney signing on to help produce the movie version of “August: Osage County” referred to playwright Tracy Letts writing the screen adaptation of “her play.” Letts is male.

Space shuttle model: An article in the June 15 Business section about a space shuttle model to be displayed in Downey said that aircraft manufacturing boomed there during World War II, with factories churning out P-51 Mustang fighter planes. It was the Vultee BT-13 Valiant combat training aircraft that was built in Downey at that time.
