Prison realignment: In the Aug. 20 LATExtra section, an article about efforts by the LAPD to monitor felons after their release from prison said that the department had received $2.2 million from Los Angeles County to help defray the cost of the monitoring. Those funds came from the state.

“Everything Is” festival: In the Aug. 15 Calendar section, a Weekend Picks item about the “Everything Is” festival was accompanied by an uncaptioned photo of Firesign Theatre members. Firesign was the subject of a tribute at the 2011 festival but was not a part of this year’s event.

Law schools: An article in the Aug. 20 Section A about declining law school enrollment said that USC’s 2012 first-year law student class declined by 30 students from the previous year. The 2012 first-year class was 11 students smaller than 2011.

Locarno Film Festival: An article about the Locarno Film Festival in the Aug. 20 Calendar section said that “Manakamana” received a top prize but didn’t identify the section of the competition it won. The movie by Stephanie Spray and Pacho Velez took the top prize in the Filmmakers of the Present section for first and second films.

South L.A. hospital: In the Aug. 20 LATExtra section, an article about the rising costs of a South L.A. hospital project referred to Jim Lott as the executive vice president of the Hospital Assn. of Southern California. Lott is the former executive vice president of the association and is now executive vice president of COPE Health Solutions.

Special Olympics: An article in the Aug. 19 LATExtra section about the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games coming to Los Angeles misstated the title of Special Olympics supporter Rob Friedman at Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. He is the co-chairman of Lionsgate, not the chief executive.
