Clara Jane Nixon: In the Jan. 21 LATExtra section, a headline on the obituary of Clara Jane Nixon, sister-in-law of President Nixon, misspelled her first name as Carla.

Dangling wires: In the Jan. 21 LATExtra section, the caption for a photograph of a motorcyclist riding past dangling wires on Laguna Canyon Road described the wires as power lines. They were communications lines.

Donald E. Westlake: An article in the Jan. 20 Calendar section about bringing author Donald E. Westlake’s character Parker to the big screen said that Westlake had been voted Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America and that it was an award given to only three writers. It should have said that Westlake was one of the few writers to have won Edgar awards in three different categories. The Grand Master honor itself has been given to more than 50 people.

Emerald essentials: An item on the cover of the Jan. 13 Image section directing readers to an article inside the section omitted information about the bracelet pictured on the cover. It is the John Wind Maximal Art Emerald Heirloom Bracelet, available at maxandchloe.com for $73.

Inauguration performances: In the Jan. 22 Calendar section, an article about the musical performances at President Obama’s inauguration misstated the lyric from “Let’s Stay Together” that Obama had sung a year ago at a fundraiser at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. He sang the song’s first six words, “I’m so in love with you,” not the first three words of the song’s chorus, “Let’s stay together.”

1977 slaying: An article in the Jan. 20 California section about the 1977 slaying of Pamela Lambson, a possible victim of serial killer Rodney Alcala, misspelled the name of the San Francisco restaurant Scoma’s as Skoma’s.
