Running shoes: In the July 13 Saturday section, an article about running shoes had a wrong photograph for one of the products reviewed. The photo used to illustrate the Merrell Barefoot Road Glove 2 shoe was actually of the Merrell Vapor Glove shoe.

Unauthorized sterilizations: An article in the July 14 California section about female prisoners sterilized without proper approvals said the procedures violated state law. The sterilizations violated state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation regulations, not state law.

“A New Sculpturalism”: A review in the June 30 Arts & Books section of the exhibition “A New Sculpturalism” at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary space said several architects have a bigger presence in the final version of the show than they did in a version planned earlier. That statement was partly incorrect. Architects Neil Denari and Michael Rotondi do not have a bigger presence.

Janet Napolitano: An article in the July 13 Section A about the selection of Janet Napolitano to head the UC system said Timothy P. White, the chancellor of the California State University system, had been president of UC Riverside. White was chancellor of UC Riverside.

June Lake: In the July 14 Travel section, a caption with an article about the June Lake Loop in the Sierra misidentified the setting in the photo as Gull Lake. The location shown was Silver Lake.
