Jingle writers: A March 19 article in the Business section about commercial jingle writers said Barry Manilow wrote the McDonald’s song “You Deserve a Break Today” and that Randy Newman wrote the Dr Pepper jingle “I’m a Pepper.” Though each recorded jingles for the respective companies, it was Kevin Gavin, Sidney Woloshin, Albert Ham and Nathan Kipner who composed “You Deserve a Break Today” and Jake Holmes who wrote “I’m a Pepper.”
Fake Rockefeller case: An article in the March 21 LateExtra section about the murder trial of a onetime Rockefeller impostor identified the defendant as Christopher Gerhartsreiter. His name is Christian Gerhartsreiter.
